When painting becomes a reflection of our inner world

Contemporary painting finds different responses in the hearts of ordinary people and connoisseurs. Someone still loves simple, understandable scenes of landscapes and still lifes, collectors carefully study the canvases in the hope of discerning the work of masters whose names will remain in history, and for someone, art is only a way to earn. Like many years ago, oil painting or watercolor plays a significant role in human culture in general.

The role of painting in the life of modern man

Unlike their ancestors, a person in the 21st century rarely experiences physical hunger or suffers from a shortage of comfortable living conditions. Today we are at that level of development, when the main value is represented by emotions: lively, rich, bright. They add color to our lives, forcing the hearts to beat faster and lighting the fire in tired souls.

It is the embodiment, the image of emotions increasingly becoming the goal of modern brush masters, sensitively catching those unrest, the tendencies that society is exposed to. The result of such efforts was the abstract painting.

What is this: a tribute of time or a legacy to the generations

This trend arose in the 1920s, with the time on its basis the accompanying types and subspecies of painting developed, but abstraction carries the human mind even today.

There are several reasons for this popularity:

  • Bright, saturated colors and tones. Regardless of whether watercolor painting or oil painting, abstract paintings admire the look of a variety of colors, their harmonious contrast.
  • Positive emotions. Such pictures are able to awaken in each person his inner creator, give inspiration and energize. Even an individual remote from art feels a surge of energy when looking at an abstract canvas.
  • Freedom of interpretation. Enjoying such creativity, the viewer does not ask himself what the master wanted to say. Each of us finds something of his own in such paintings, and this is the special charm of abstraction.
  • Unlimited scope. If the oil painting of other directions requires an appropriate environment, then the work of abstract artists is appropriate to look both in a cozy living room and in the business office, giving each room its own special note.
